How to Use the Image Watermark Blur Tool
This tool helps you obscure watermarks, logos, or other unwanted elements in your images by applying a localized blur effect. Follow these simple steps:
- Upload Your Image:
- Click the “Select Image” button.
- Choose the image file (JPEG, PNG, WEBP) from your device that you want to edit.
- The file name will appear below the button once selected, and the image will load in the “Image Editor” pane.
- Activate the Blur Tool:
- Click the “Enable Blur Tool” button.
- The button text will change to “Disable Blur Tool (Click/Drag Active)”.
- The mouse cursor will turn into a crosshair when hovering over the image in the “Image Editor” pane, indicating that the blur tool is active.
- A “Blur Strength” slider will appear. You can adjust this slider before drawing to control how strong the blur effect will be (higher value = stronger blur).
- Apply Blur to Watermarks:
- Move your crosshair cursor to one corner of the watermark or area you want to blur.
- Click and hold the mouse button.
- Drag the cursor across the unwanted area to draw a rectangle covering it completely.
- Release the mouse button. The selected rectangular area will now be blurred directly on the editor image.
- Repeat this click-and-drag process for any other areas you wish to blur. You can draw multiple blur regions.
- (Optional) Choose Output Aspect Ratio:
- If you need the final image to have specific dimensions (like square 1:1, wide 16:9, etc.), click on the desired ratio button under “Choose Output Aspect Ratio”.
- The “Original” button keeps the image’s initial aspect ratio.
- Selecting a different ratio will crop the image to fit; the tool centers the crop automatically.
- Preview Your Edits:
- Once you have applied your blurs and selected an aspect ratio (if needed), click the “Preview Edited Image” button.
- The final result, incorporating all your blur edits and any cropping from the aspect ratio selection, will appear in the “Edited Preview” pane below.
- Download the Edited Image:
- If you are happy with the result shown in the “Edited Preview” pane, click the “Download Image” button.
- Your browser will download the edited image as a PNG file.
- Clear or Reset:
- If you want to remove the blur effects and start over on the same image, click the “Clear Edits & Reset” button. This will restore the image in the editor to its original state and clear the preview.
- If you want to start completely fresh with a new image, simply click “Select Image” again – uploading a new image will automatically clear the previous state.
Important Note: This tool uses a blur effect to obscure watermarks. It does not use AI to intelligently fill the background. The blurred area will be smoothed out but might still be noticeable depending on the image and the strength of the blur used.
